With the financial support of the CNC, Sacem has just announced the creation of an emergency fund for composers of music for the screen. The fund is open to all composers who have contributed to the music of at least one short film, feature film, documentary or TV series supported by the CNC.

"This assistance will take into account income earned between March and December 2020 and may amount to up to 1,500 euros per month over this period, depending on the drop in income observed," the statement said.

The CNC has associated itself with this new Sacem initiative through a financing agreement approved by its Board of Directors at a meeting on October 1.

This new emergency fund complements the plan of emergency measures announced by Sacem in April, concerning authors and composers who were unable to benefit from the solidarity fund set up by the government.
